Kawula Muda, drama "Lovers of the Red Sky", "Taxi Driver", "One the Woman", dan "Racket Boys" menjadi pemenang terbanyak.
SBS Drama Awards 2021 sukses digelar pada 31 Desember 2021. Ajang penghargaan yang mengapresiasi aktor dan aktris serta drama yang tayang di SBS ini, berlangsung di SBS Prism Tower di Seoul dan dipandu oleh Shin Dong Yup dan Kim Yoo Jung.
Dalam ajang ini, drama Lovers of the Red Sky, Taxi Driver, One the Woman, dan Racket Boys menjadi pemenang terbanyak. Sedangkan dari drama The Penthouse, sosok pemeran utamanya yaitu Kim So Yeon berhasil membawa pulang piala Grand Prize alias Daesang.
Saat memberikan pidatonya, Kim So Yeon sempat mengutarakan bahwa dia tidak menyangka dapat menerima penghargaan besar dari SBS.
“Saya memulai (karier) sebagai seorang pemain ekstra 28 tahun lalu. Itu untuk drama di SBS dan saya tidak percaya bahwa (kini) saya menerima penghargaan yang besar dari SBS,” ungkapnya.
Tak lupa Kim So Yeon juga mengucapkan terima kasih untuk seluruh tim produksi drama The Penthouse serta suaminya tercinta, Lee Sang Woo yang selalu mendukungnya.
“Saya kagum dan tersentuh dengan apa yang dapat ditunjukkan oleh sutradara ‘The Penthouse’. Terima kasih kepada penulis tercinta Kim Soon Ok, saya bisa berdiri di sini hari ini. Saya khawatir dengan setiap episode dari ‘The Penthouse’ dan apakah itu akan berjalan dengan baik, dan terima kasih kepada (suami) Lee Sang Woo, yang merupakan mentor saya yang sehat dan optimis untuk melalui semua itu,” ujar Kim So Yeon.
