Kawula Muda, "The Power of the Dog" jadi film terbaik.
Golden Globe Awards 2022 telah mengumumkan daftar pemenangnya pada Senin (10/01/2022)! Tahun ini, ajang penghargaan Golden Globe Awards memang tidak digelar seperti biasanya.
The Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) hanya mengumumkan daftar pemenang melalui media sosial dan situs resmi mereka.
Hal tersebut dilakukan akibat buntut dari aksi boikot yang dilakukan oleh sejumlah pihak, termasuk stasiun penyiaran, NBC, yang menolak untuk menyiarkan langsung acara tersebut.
Aksi boikot dilakukan karena banyak pihak menduga banyak kasus korupsi yang terjadi di lembaga HFPA. Tak hanya itu, skandal semakin melebar karena lembaga yang telah berusia puluhan tahun itu dituding telah bertindak rasial.
Tahun ini, penghargaan Film Terbaik Golden Globe Awards berhasil dibawa pulang oleh The Power of the Dog. Film ini juga memenangi kategori Sutradara Terbaik yang diperoleh oleh Jane Campion.
Film animasi Disney, Encanto, berhasil membawa pulang penghargaan kategori Film Animasi Terbaik dan mengalahkan beberapa film animasi beken lainnya yaitu Flee, Luca, My Sunny Maad, dan Raya and the Last Dragon.
Sementara itu, aktor Andrew Garfield akhirnya berhasil membawa pulang piala pertama Golden Globe berkat perannya di film musikal berjudul Tick, Tick…Boom!.
Piala pertama Golden Globe juga dibawa pulang aktor senior asal Korea Selatan O Yeong Su berkat aktingnya di drama seri Netflix, Squid Game.
