Kawula Muda, Justin Bieber muncul lagi dengan karya baru nih.
Memulai era baru, Justin Bieber baru saja merilis lagu barunya bersama rapper asal Amerika, Chance the Rapper, berjudul Holy. Sebuah lagu yang mengisahkan tentang cinta, harapan dan keyakinan.
Video musik untuk lagu tersebut diunggah melalui akun YouTube resmi milik Justin pada Jumat (18/09/2020).
Dalam video musik yang disutradarai oleh Colin Tilley tersebut, penyanyi yang populer lewat lagu Baby tersebut bermain peran sebagai seorang pekerja kasar di sebuah tambang, dengan kondisi ekonomi keluarga yang sangat sulit.
Justin tampil bersama Ryan Destiny (aktris dari serial Fox Star) yang berperan sebagai istrinya, dan Wilmer Valderrama (aktor dari serial televisi berjudul NCIS) yang berperan sebagai seorang tentara.
Justin dan Ryan dikisahkan sebagai pasangan suami istri yang tinggal di rumah kontrakan. Keuangan keluarga mereka semakin menyedihkan ketika Justin harus kehilangan pekerjaan setelah tempat kerjanya harus tutup disebabkan situasi global akibat pandemi, sementara sang istri, hanya bekerja sebagai perawat panggilan.
Tidak bisa membayar biaya sewa tempat tinggal, Justin bersama istrinya diusir dari rumah kontrakan, dan terpaksa menjadi gelandangan. Keduanya berjalan kaki menyusuri jalan raya, hingga seorang tentara menawarkan tumpangan dan mengajak mereka makan malam di rumahnya.
Sebelum menggarap Holy, Justin dan Chance telah beberapa kali terlibat proyek bersama. Pada 2013, rapper yang merilis album studio pertamanya pada 2019 itu sempat muncul di single milik Justin berjudul Confident.
Keduanya juga bergabung dengan DJ Khaled dan Quavo untuk lagu No Brainer pada 2018.
