Daftar nominasi iHeartRadio Music Awards 2021 telah diumumkan pada Rabu (07/04/2021).
The Weeknd memimpin jumlah perolehan nominasi tahun ini dengan delapan kategori termasuk Song of The Year untuk Blinding Lights dan Male Artist of The Year.
Jumlah nominasi terbanyak berikutnya diperoleh Megan Thee Stallion dan Roddy Ricch yang masing-masing mendapat tujuh. Harry Styles menyusul dengan enam nominasi, lalu Justin Bieber lima nominasi.
The Weeknd, Roddy Ricch, dan Harry Styles, sama-sama bersaing dalam kategori Song of The Year dan Male Artist of The Year, begitu juga Post Malone yang dinominasikan di kedua kategori tersebut.
Megan Thee Stallion akan bersaing dengan Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, dan Taylor Swift di kategori Female Artist of the Year.
Grup asal Korea Selatan, BTS, mendapatkan empat nominasi tahun ini. Satu di antaranya untuk kategori utama Best Duo/Group of the Year, dan tiga lainnya untuk kategori yang pemenangnya ditentukan melalui voting penggemar yaitu Best Fan Army, Best Music Video, dan Favorite Music Video Choreography.
Penggemar musik Indonesia terutama fans dari Agnez Mo patut berbangga, karena fandom sang artis yaitu Agnation ikut dinominasikan dalam kategori Best Fan Army.
Selain bersaing dengan fandom BTS yaitu ARMY, Agnation juga akan berkompetisi dengan fandom-fandom besar lainnya seperti penggemar BLACKPINK (Blink), Ariana Grande (Arianators), Justin Bieber (Beliebers), NCT 127 (NCTzens), dan Taylor Swift (Swifties).
iHeartRadio Music Awards akan disiarkan langsung oleh stasiun TV Fox dari The Dolby Theatre di Los Angeles, Amerika Serikat, pada Kamis, 27 Mei 2021, mulai pukul 20.00 ET atau Jumat pukul 07.00 WIB.
