Kawula Muda, "Don’t Wake Me Up" menandai rilis perdana Jonas Blue di 2022.
Jonas Blue kembali hadir dengan single baru hasil kolaborasinya dengan boy group asal Amerika Serikat, Why Don’t We (WDW), yang berjudul Don’t Wake Me Up. Single pop-dance ini hadir disertai video lirik resmi yang diunggah di YouTube pada Jumat (07/01/2022).
Don’t Wake Me Up menandai rilis perdana Jonas Blue di 2022. Lagu ini muncul mengikuti kolaborasi Jonas Blue bersama R3hab untuk lagu Sad Boy yang menampilkan Ava Max dan Kylie Cantral, yang rilis pada September 2021.
Ini merupakan pertama kalinya Jonas Blue dan WDW berkolaborasi. Kedua artis tersebut menulis lagu ini bersama dengan Lucas Costas dan Rebecca Krueger.
Vokal dari para member WDW (Jonah, Corbyn, Daniel, Jack, dan Zach) yang berpadu dengan musik EDM dari Jonas Blue, menjadikan Don’t Wake Me Up terdengar sangat catchy.
Lagu diawali dengan vokal Corbyn yang lembut dengan iringan piano sederhana. Musik semakin progresif memasuki bagian pre-chorus yang dinyanyikan oleh Jonah. Zach dan Jack masuk di bagian hook dengan lirik yang mudah dihafal: “Don’t wake me up/ In the middle of the night/ Cause I finally found you.”
Jonas mengeksekusi bagian klimaks dengan banger dance upbeat yang energik, dilanjutkan dengan suara Daniel di verse berikutnya.
Selama 2021, Jonas Blue telah beberapa kali mengeluarkan single kolaborasi, termasuk Hear Me Say bersama Léon dan Something Stupid bersama Awa. DJ asal Inggris itu juga sempat membuat remix untuk lagu Tones and I yang berjudul Fly Away.
Sepanjang kariernya, Jonas Blue baru merilis satu album studio yaitu “Blue” pada November 2018. Semenjak itu pria berusia 32 tahun itu belum mengeluarkan album berikutnya. Album debut tersebut berhasil menduduki peringkat keenam di tangga Lagu Billboard To Dance/Electronic Album dan telah mendapat sertifikat gold dari RIAA.
