Daftar nominasi untuk ajang penghargaan Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards yang ke-56 telah diumumkan pada Jumat (26/02/2021).
Maren Morris dan Chris Stapleton memimpin perolehan nominasi ACM Awards 2021 dengan masing-masing enam nominasi.
Maren Morris yang sukses dengan single The Bones, menempatkan namanya di beberapa kategori utama seperti Single of The Year, Song of The Year, Artist of The Year dan Group of the Year (sebagai member grup The Highwomen).
Sementara itu, nominasi Chris Stapleton tahun ini diperoleh berkat album terbarunya, “Starting Over”, untuk kategori Entertainer of The Year, Album of The Year, Song of The Year, dan Male Artist of The Year.
Dalam kategori paling bergengsi, Entertainer of The Year, Chris bersaing dengan empat artis pria lainnya, yaitu Eric Church, Luke Bryan, Luke Combs, dan Thomas Rhett. Tahun lalu penghargaan ini dimenangi oleh dua artis yaitu Thomas Rett dan Carrie Underwood.
Perolehan Maren dan Chris diikuti oleh Miranda Lambert dengan lima nominasi, termasuk nominasi ke-15 kalinya untuk Female Artist of The Year. Miranda juga menjadi artis perempuan yang telah mengumpulkan nominasi terbanyak sepanjang sejarah ACM, dengan total 68 nominasi sejauh ini.
Selanjutnya ada Ashley McBryde, Thomas Rett, dan produser Jay Joyce yang sama-sama mendapat empat nominasi.
ACM Awards ke-56 akan disiarkan melalui jaringan TV CBS dan Paramount+ pada Minggu, 18 April 2021, mulai pukul 8 malam ET atau Senin, pukul 8 pagi WIB.
Seperti pertunjukan tahun lalu, ACM Awards 2021 akan digelar di tiga tempat di Nashville, Amerika Serikat, yaitu di Grand Ole Opry House, Ryman Auditorium, dan Bluebird Cafe.
